The Prama Institute is a conference and retreat center located on forested hilltops and grasslands surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains. It sits near the French Broad River, about 25 minutes outside Asheville, NC. Our scenic and peaceful surroundings create the perfect place for educational conferences, yoga retreats, workplace seminars, and other events.
Besides the high-quality conferences that the Prama Institute organizes all year round, the facility is also available for rent to all types of groups, organizations, and businesses. Our experienced staff is available to offer you assistance with event planning, marketing, and registration. Let us assist you in creating your own successful workshop or seminar.

David Crow, reknown acupuncturist, herbalist and expert of Ayurvedic Medicine, will teach about the use of essential oils according to Ayurvedic principles and the application of essential oils for increasing concentration, relaxation and deepening meditation; and meditations assisted with sacred oils and aromatic herbs. Embark on a journey into the
multi-colored, many roomed mansions of the heart through the
practice of Kirtan; or chanting the ecstatic songs of ancient India.
Using call-and-response singing and storytelling, Grammy nominated
recording artist Jai Uttal will invoke a space of prayer and
heartfelt expression, joined by his good friend, tabla maestro and
